波蘭華沙一處大型購物中心週日（12日）發生大火，整間商場完全燒毀，將近1400個店鋪付之一炬。幸好沒有人員傷亡。

這間位於華沙市北部的馬利威斯卡44購物中心（Marywilska 44）是在當地時間清晨約3時30分透過自動警報裝置通報發生火警。儘管華沙出動數十輛消防車、近200名消防員，10分鐘就趕到現場進行灌救，在當地時間早上約8時控制火勢，但整間商場已經完全燒毀。
華沙的消防隊指揮官費提諾維斯基說：「幾乎100%都被燒掉了。火勢正在撲滅中，不過可能要好幾個小時後才能完全撲滅。」
這棟商場是華沙最大的購物中心之一，包括自動販賣機在內，有將近1400個商家攤位。

波蘭當地媒體報導說，消防隊對於火勢蔓延得如此之快感到訝異。華沙市民也被官方建議緊閉門窗，儘量不要外出，因為大火造成大量的煙塵汙染，使空氣品質極度惡化。
馬利威斯卡44購物中心室內商場面積達6.2萬平方公尺，數千人在商場內工作，這次的火災勢必將衝擊數千人的生計。
根據2023年度的統計，商場內有50%的店家是服飾業，10%是其他服務業，6%銷售嬰幼兒用品，5%銷售食物，6%銷售家具家飾。
