大都會客運2088號國道客運昨(18)日下午發生火燒車事件，當下司機及43名乘客緊急下車，無人員受困；不過，之後坐上接駁車的卻只有42名乘客，所幸經連夜尋找後，終於找到第43名女學生乘客。
大都會客運2088號國道客運18日傍晚5時許，行經中山高速公路北上2.7公里處時，突然因不明原因起火燃燒，整輛車停靠路邊後隨即陷入恐怖火海。
消防局接獲報案後，隨即派遣百福、暖暖、信義分隊共出11車20前往人救援；抵達現場後，客運司機表示乘客全部都已疏散到路肩，隨後消防人員射水灌救，終於在晚間6時許將火勢撲滅。

原來，該名女學生在下車後，自行步行下交流道，途中被好心車輛載回家。大都會客運也到女學生家探望，除給予2000元慰問金外，又加贈1000元交通津貼給該名女學生。
