台中清水區驚傳火警，今（30）日下午5時44分許，臨港路五段某民宅竄出濃煙火舌，警消人員獲報後出動大安分隊、梧棲分隊、沙鹿分隊、清水分隊、清泉分隊以及第四大隊等前往救援。初步了解，現場火勢已控制，民宅內無人受困，燃燒面積約330平方公尺，由於該民宅1樓有堆放大量外燴器材、保麗龍等，才導致火勢猛烈、快速延燒，至於起火的詳細原因還有待進一步調查。
